Should or Should Not?

Why I should take marathon in SIM

a. My current working time is advantageous to commit to serious trainings.

b. Couple of running buddies have signed up, we are about the same pace... so I have companies in training.

c. I respect the distance, therefore I have to be very disciplined in my diet, any excessive weight will just add to the burden. This will be my new weight loss target, after all I am still very big and need to lose weight!
* Losing weight is also the primary goal when starting this blog... I have been losing focus and determination for quite some time already

d. Since it is on purpose to run in another country, I hope to complete the marathon straight away, so I do not need to return to SIM again, which is one of 4 greatest races on earth by Standard Chartered. There are so many races out there and I want to make [race + holiday] as my goal in the rest of the lifetime.

e. The SIM's course is flat and it is really well organized according to many previous participants, it is very suitable for those who take their first marathon or half marathon. Well, I have taken a half marathon already, or maybe another one in November, so now...

f. I was thrilled reading all the marathon race reports by many bloggers, I am so eager to do it myself!

g. Maybe I am insane, I am really looking forward to the trainings full of sweat, tears and torture... my mind keeps thinking this is actually FUN!

Why I should not take marathon in SIM

a. Am I too hasty? I am just one year old in running.

b. Obviously I have not built the foundation strong enough. See how I suffered in Adidas KOTR.

c. I am still very big, I will risk myself with injuries and overtraining. There are many more years to come, why so rushed? Do it slowly and it is more promising!

d. I am kiasu and narcissistic, I scare people say I attempt something out of my capability.

e. I am not sure whether I am mentally strong enough to handle this. I am afraid I may slip and breakdown, and then return back to the old me.

Point number 4, in my case, if I weren't kiasu and narcissictic and was scared that people say I attempt something out of my capability I wouldnt have finished four marathons. :)

Cycling on stationary bike or on roads? Don't have access to gym now... and I am not good in cycling on roads...
