Hi Doris, just want to congratulate you on your courage to take on the 42km. I also ran the 42km at KLIM after only a year of running, and I finished it in 6hrs. Just wanna share what I have learnt:
1. Replenish water and sodium at night before race to prevent cramps
2. Drink plenty of water night before and a few hours before race.
3. Eat plenty of carbs the week before race day.
4. Every kg you lose can help to make you faster.
5. Train your legs to run for 2-3 hours continuous.
It is insane. But I can assure you, you will want to run more marathon after this. I will be doing by 3rd (Penang) and 4th marathon (SIM) this year. Keep challenging yourself. Good luck, its not impossible!
ahaha... I am not saying u siao, Doris Jie Jie. In fact, I am very de impressed. I am sure that u can do it. Not only can do it, but will complete it well. Cause nowadays Doris Jie Jie will work hard toward her goals. Today e Doris Jie Jie has gained confidence, more positive thinking, faster, tougher... since she start joining running! Jia You !

I am still a new runner, I know I should build a strong foundation first, so I know I am insane to sign up the marathon....
